South Orange Dolphins

The Dolphins are a competitive summer swim team located in the town of South Orange, NJ. The team is made up of local swimmers from age 6 through 18. Its mission is to provide young people with positive experiences through competitive swimming that will last a lifetime, and have a whole lot of fun.

SOMA Hoops

A community-based recreation league, SOMA Hoops seeks to make the game of basketball accessible to every 1st-8th grade child in SOMA. Through a combination of skill-based learning and game play, our once-a-week league is led by SOMA volunteers (parents, guardians, high school coaches & players), with the goal of ensuring every child within our community can learn the game and have fun playing it with their peers.

SOMA Rocks V

SOMA Rocks is more than just a fundraiser; it’s a celebration of our community’s talent and a night filled with incredible music and camaraderie. Each January, the Local Heroes Band invites its talented neighbors from the South Orange and Maplewood community to perform with the band as guest vocalists.

SOMA Rocks V goal is Columbia High School Music Parents Association (CHSMPA).

The Human Needs Food Pantry

Since 1982, the Human Needs Food Pantry has provided food, clothing, and other services to people in need who live in Montclair and neighboring communities in Essex County. Our diverse client base includes families and individuals who are elderly, disabled, home-bound, unemployed, or underemployed.
